Icelandic/Jacob/Gulf Coast Sheep

Our small farm produces fine fleeces and livestock.  We are in the process of trying to develop our own breed through a cross of Icelandic, Jacob, and Gulf Coast genetics.  Our goal is to produce sheep that have horns (both sexes), fine fleece, high quality meat with a decent growth rate based soley on grazing, and be naturally resistent to barber pole worms.

Fleeces become available in October and May.  The fall shearing includes lambs wool.  Lambs become available in July as weaning occurs.

Currently we have 9 lambs available.  They will be weanable by the end of May and ready for the freezer in October.  Note: we name lambs on a theme each year.  Last year was superheros, this year is classic authors.
